During this summer, the Young Men’s Educational Network, in collaboration with the Department of Family Support Services, enlisted the services of 30 young individuals to participate in our Kings and Queens gardening initiative. Through this seasonal program, these youths were instructed in the art of garden maintenance, nurturing crops, cultivating fruits and vegetables, and the essential task of weeding to ensure bountiful produce. Additionally, the program imparted valuable life skills, emphasizing the significance of knowing how to plant and harvest as opposed to relying solely on store-bought produce.
